USA Today 6 Christian Rappers you Should Know

With all the talk of FLAME winning the lawsuit against Katy Perry and NF beating out Chance the Rapper for the No. 1 Billboard spot, non-Christian outlets are starting to take notice of what’s going on with Christian hip hop.

USA Today, one of the largest publication in the world decided to list off 6 Christian Rappers You Should Know. Those names included NF, Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Social Club Misfits, nobigdyl., and Wande. This is a cool plug for these artists and hopefully, mainstream media will start paying attention to the vast number of artists we have that are killing it every day.

Dove Awards 2019

The yearly Dove Awards are rolling around soon, and the nominees have just been revealed. We’ll focus on the nominations from CHH. A lot of people were asking where NF is or their favorite artist. The thing you have to understand is that Awards shows are fueled by labels submitting and paying an annual fee for their artists to be nominated. That’s why you rarely see if at all an independent artist.

So, the nominees: Aaron Cole is up for new artist while Andy Mineo, GAWVI, Lecrae, Social Club, and Steven Malcolm grabbed nominations for hip-hop song of the year. Andy, GAWVI, Lecrae, Tedashii, and Steven Malcolm are each nominated for Hip-Hop Album of the year.

What do you think, would you like us to post an article about how the Dove Awards work?

Andy Mineo Work in Progress

Andy Mineo has set a release date for his Work in Progress project. It’s a 12 track mixtape comprised of raw, unmastered and alternate versions of songs recorded over the years. A bunch of these songs have been released already and you know while we’re distracted by this there’s definitely another project coming!

Don Ryvcko Interview

From first glance, Don Ryvcko may look like a young white rapper, but deep down inside is rooted an incredible Spanglish artist with a heart from Latino people. Despite his appearance and name, he grew up in Honduras to missionary parents. Honduran culture was all he knew until he moved to the United States when he was 10. He felt more at home in Central America than the U.S. Now, he’s taking his gifts and created awesome culture bending Christian raps.
