Derek Minor Says Clearance Issue on ‘HALLELUYAH’ was a Blessing

Derek Minor was recently a guest on the Pen Game 101 game and interview show. As they were breaking down the “Pen” portion aka his album Nobody’s Perfect, they spoke on the opening track “HALLELUYAH” and the clearance issue it had.

The rapper spoke about how he tried contacting the label and artists involved in the sample and they just refused to let him use the sample. It caused him to push the album back. He exhausted everything he could before God blessed him with an alternative. He explains it below:

Pen Game 101 is a CHH Interview game show hosted by Justin Sarachik, Luc DiMarzio, and Mr. Cutright. They break down the Pen of the artist, play some Games, and then get taken to school on the 101.
