Street Hymns on the concept of his free album ‘Slow & Steady’

Grand Prairie, Texas-based artist Street Hymns released his first full-length project, Slow & Steady, for free on Rapzilla earlier this year, and he talked about the music in an interview at Legacy Conference 2016.

“The concept behind Slow and Steady is basically counter-cultural to a world that lives a fast life and embraces the phrase ‘live fast and die young,'” Street said.

The emcee/singer-songwriter/battle rapper explained that he likes to apply lessons he learned as a child to his life now.

“I feel like the things we learn as children carry over to our adulthood,” he said, “and one of my favorite stories as a child was ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’.”
