Angel Studios Announces New Sci-fi movie for December ‘The Shift’

In ‘The Shift’, a dystopian drama and sci-fi thriller, one man is faced with infinite worlds and impossible choices. When Kevin Garner meets a nefarious adversary known as The Benefactor and refuses his offer of wealth and power, he must escape an alternate totalitarian reality. With survival on the line, Kevin fights to make it back to the world he knows and the woman he loves.

‘The Shift’ originally started off as a short film that was a labor of love by Brock Heasley that was created and has now been turned into a full-length film with the help of Angel Studios. This will be their first sci-fi theatrical release and will debut on December 1st. The movie was inspired by the book of Job, with the focus on how a man can suffer and feel like God is far away and how tempting it can be to turn away from Him.

The movie stars Kristoffer Polaha (Wonder Woman 1984, Jurassic World Dominion, and the TV show Mad Men) as the main character Kevin, his wife is Elizabeth Tabish (from the Chosen), Paras Patel (The Chosen), and Sean Astin, (yes, from the Goonies) among others.

This, like their prior releases, has a pay-it-forward option which means you can claim a free ticket or pay for someone else to go. The more tickets purchased prior to release shows the demand to the theaters which will add more screens for people to watch it.

‘Sound of Freedom’ was extremely successful and is now playing worldwide and if you missed it, you can view it exclusively through the Angel Studios App as a Guild Member prior to the planned physical release.

Are you a sci-fi dystopian drama fan? Will you be checking it out?
