In the clip, Von D is at her baptismal ceremony. The pastor, addressing her as Katherine von Drachenberg, baptizes her in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The moment is met with applause as she embraces the pastor.

This spiritual pivot follows Kat Von D’s decision in July 2022 to distance herself from her previous interests in tarot cards and books on witchcraft. She acknowledged the need for change and the realization that some aspects of her past did not align with her evolving beliefs.

“I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past,” she wrote.

She continued, “I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”

Kat Von D clarified that her shift wasn’t a judgment on those interested in topics like witchcraft. Instead, she emphasized her personal need to navigate a spiritual battle and surround herself and her family with love and light.
