TikTok Music Launches in Australia, Singapore, and Mexico

TikTok is expanding its reach into the music streaming market with the launch of TikTok Music in Australia, Singapore, and Mexico. The service offers users access to a library of over 100 million songs, as well as curated playlists and personalized recommendations.

This is following a beta test in Brazil and Indonesia. The service is expected to be available in the United States soon, as TikTok’s parent company ByteDance filed a trademark application for “TikTok Music” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last May.

The launch of TikTok Music is part of TikTok’s efforts to expand its reach into the music industry. The company has already partnered with a number of record labels, and it is also working with Warner Music Group to develop new revenue opportunities.

TikTok and Warner Music Group have announced a “wide-ranging, first-of-its-kind partnership” that will open up new revenue opportunities for both companies. The partnership will focus on developing fandom partnerships around WMG artists and songwriters, with possible monetization features around ticketing, merchandise, and other “digital goods and services.”

The launch of TikTok Music and the partnership with Warner Music Group is good news for music fans. The two companies have a combined reach of over 2 billion users, and they are committed to providing fans with new ways to discover and enjoy music.

TikTok Music is expected to offer a wide range of features, including curated playlists, personalized recommendations, and the ability to stream music offline. The partnership with Warner Music Group will also give fans access to exclusive content from WMG artists and songwriters.

It is a free service, but users will have the option to subscribe to a premium tier that offers ad-free listening and offline playback. The premium tier costs $11.99 per month in Australia, $9.90 per month in Singapore, and $115 pesos per month in Mexico.

TikTok Music is integrated with the TikTok app, so users can easily discover new music while they’re watching videos. The service also offers a number of features that are designed to make it easier for users to find the music they love, such as:

    • Find the songs you love: TikTok Music offers a variety of ways to discover new music, including personalized recommendations, curated playlists, and the ability to search for songs by title, artist, or genre.
    • Sync your accounts: Easily sync your TikTok and TikTok Music accounts so you can listen to your favorite songs on both platforms.
    • Sing along: It has embedded lyrics that automatically play, so you can sing along to your favorite songs like a pro.
    • Create playlists: Make music a shared experience by creating collaborative playlists with your friends.
    • Import your library: Import your existing music library into TikTok Music so you can listen to all of your favorite songs in one place.
    • Discover sounds around you: Use the “What’s the sound?” tool to identify any song you’re listening to.
    • Connect with your community: Express yourself through comments, learn behind-the-scenes stories, and connect with fellow music lovers like you.
    • Play TikTok hits: Listen to the full versions of TikTok’s viral songs.

It remains to be seen how successful it will be, but the service has the potential to reach a large audience of users who are already familiar with TikTok. The service is also well-positioned to capitalize on the popularity of streaming music.

If you’re a fan of TikTok and you’re looking for a new way to discover music, then TikTok Music is worth checking out. The service offers a large library of songs, as well as a number of features that make it easy to find the music you love.

TikTok Music can be a great way for music artists to reach new audiences and grow their fan base. The app’s large user base and its focus on short-form videos make it a perfect platform for artists to share their music and connect with potential fans.

In addition, TikTok Music’s integration with the TikTok app means that artists can easily see how their music is being used on the platform. This data can help artists to understand what kind of content their fans are interested in, and to create more videos that will resonate with them.

Finally, the monetization options can help artists to earn money from their music. Artists can earn royalties from streams, and they can also sell merchandise and tickets through the app
