After a busy spring in Christian hip hop, album releases have slowed down.
Summer is almost a month away, and no prominent rappers have announced finite June-through-August release dates. Some labels have been vocal about who will drop their next project, though. And as for the active labels who haven’t been vocal, Rapzilla reached out to them to confirm who’s next.
Reach Records
In a Q&A with VIPs on The Anomaly Tour, Andy Mineo said he is aiming to release his sophomore LP this summer. This is not a surprise to those who follow him on social media. Mineo and his label mates have actively promoted that he’s finishing his next album.

Humble Beast Records
JGivens confirmed that he will be the next artist to drop an album on Humble Beast. The project will be his label debut. He dropped the critically-acclaimed El v. Envy independently in August 2013.
Kings Dream
The man who Lecrae recently called an “animal” in an interview with Rapzilla is next for Kings Dream. The label confirmed that John Givez will release a new LP “soon.” The project will follow up his retail debut, Four Seasons.
God Over Money
Bizzle, Selah The Corner and Datin told Rapzilla at SXSW that all of them were working on albums and joked it was a race to finish first. Well, apparently Bizzle won. The God Over Money founder confirmed that his upcoming LP will be the label’s next release.
Lamp Mode Recordings
Lamp Mode president Json told Rapzilla at SXSW 2015 that the label’s next artist to release an album will be S.O. Json said the goal is to release it this summer. The project will be titled So It Ends.

Clear Sight Music
Flame confirmed that he will be the next artist to release an LP on Clear Sight. Of course, Mike Real is the only other rapper publically signed to the label right now, and he released his label debut, Mind of Hollis, in March.
Xist Music
After an eighth-month hiatus without an album, Xist Music told Rapzilla that it’s looking to quickly follow Gemstones’ release of Blind Elephant with Sean Simmonds’ upcoming LP in July. Simmonds’ last retail album, titled It’s Over, came out in 2008. The label added that a Swift album, which the rapper formerly known as R-Swift has said is called Higher Learning, should drop in September.
Role Model Records
The Toronto-based label just released Dru Bex’s Imperfect Messengers EP. Shopé confirmed that he’s next with what should be another EP for Role Model. He released a self-titled EP last August.
Reflection Music Group
Reflection Music Group has officially announced that Tony Tillman will drop an album this summer titled Camden. The release date just isn’t set in stone, or at least public, yet. Camden will be Tillman’s first full-length retail release on RMG.

Collision Records
Collision Records said, as of now, it’s a toss-up who could be the next artist to release a project: “Depends on who is ready for us — could be Dre [Murray], Alex [Faith], Corey [Paul] or Swoope.” Though, it’s unlikely that Murray or Faith would be next, given that they just teamed up on Southern Lights: Overexposed in April. The label is aiming to put out a second WLAK project by year’s end.
