Video: Andy Mineo – Hear My Heart

Andy Mineo waited a long time for the perfect time to release the music video for his heartfelt Uncomfortable single “Hear My Heart”.

Even before the release of Uncomfortable in Sept. 2015, Mineo told Sway in the Morning about his vision for the tribute to his deaf sister Grace.

“If I was deaf, what would I want the music video to look like?” Mineo said. “I’d want to see sounds.”

On Monday, during the International Week of the Deaf, Reach Records released this music video, which Kyle Dettman directed.

“This song is made for [Grace],” Mineo said. “Really, it’s just an honest record, essentially apologizing to her for having never learned sign language growing up. … As I started thinking about it the older I got, I was like, ‘How selfish and how self-centered that was of me to never take the time out to learn sign language for my sister.'”
