4 Christian Rap Artists You May Not Have Heard Yet (Luc’s Picks Sept. ’22)

I’m back, and after a terrific summer of Christian Rap artists, I’m giving you 4 more you may have not heard of to start your fall off right.

Maxx Mitchxll

I usually share YouTube links of artists here, but for whatever reason Maxx doesn’t have his newest stuff readily available on YT. He’s got a great sound with top-notch sampling in the beats, some big performances, and some heavy bar spitting. I really dig the song “Go Up” off of The Duality Of It All, but the whole project is solid in my opinion. Follow him on Spotify, because that seems to be the only place to find him.

Caleb Daniel

A new friend of mine suggested Caleb to me recently. I would classify most of what I’ve heard as emotional. There are a lot of melodies laced with candor, and there is a depth to his music that is hard to conjure up without actually living what he’s talking about. The production company connected to his music seems to be entitled John 15:16 – you have been chosen to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. There is an endearing and relatable vibe to what Caleb brings, and it’s refreshing to me. Caleb Daniel Spotify.

E.I. The King

E.I. is raw, and his passion oozes out of the tracks he presents. He tends to stay on melodies in his songs a little longer than I like, but I appreciate the mood and the motive behind it all. He doesn’t want people around him to stay the way they are and sees a bigger and better way. His visuals are well done and captivating, and he’s got some legit features on his stuff too with Reconcile and Canon. I dig it, and will definitely stay tuned to hear what’s next. E.I. Frank Bentley

If you haven’t heard of Frank yet you’re really missing out. Production is the highest quality, energy level is tremendous, and sonically he’s just a great listen. He’s got upbeat tempos but still takes time to give you an introspective melody on the hook. Frank’s got the tenacious side of Florida in his music, and all I can do is nod my head. Luc DiMarzio

Written by Luc DiMarzio

Luc has been a fan of CHH for 30 years, and has been writing about it for just over 4 years. He has a huge passion for amplifying the underground of CHH.

When he's not bumpin hip-hop, you can catch him leading worship at his local church, rooting on the Chicago Cubs with his wife, or swimming with his kids.
