Christian Rapper Jericho Hand-Picked to Perform Song at Ric Flair’s Last Match

If you’re thinking of Chris Jericho, you’d be wrong…for years there’s been a Christian artist by the name of Jericho. In fact, he was a Rapzilla Freshmen in 2015, and is currently touring with multiple-platinum selling band Rehab.

Jericho, again with no relation to the wrestler, grew up a wrestling fan. Undoubtedly, one of his favorite wrestlers was the legendary Ric Flair.

“Years ago I would wait outside arenas with a Walkman pitching entrance music,” said Jericho. “Then years later I’m reached out to and hand-picked to play Ric Flair’s last match with DJ Whooo Kid incredible.”

After being asked to perform at the event, Jericho wrote a song called “Ric Flair Summer.” It even samples the wrestler talking. The song mentions a lot of the wrestler’s accomplishments and mannerisms.

He performed at the Starrcast Roast of Ric Flair, the after party, and the last match.

Many superstars were there from Summerslam, a WWE event, happening the same weekend in Nashville.

Kid Rock, Mike Tyson, Undertaker, Whooo Kid, Brett Hart, Mick Foley, Charlotte Flair, and more were in attendance.

Flair’s long career started in 1972, and at 72 years old, it ended on July 31st in Nashville, 50 years later.
