4 Christian Rap Artists You May Not Have Heard Yet (Luc’s Picks May 2022)

It’s May already, and with a lot of us looking forward to the summer, here are some perfect new Christian rap artists to add to your summer playlists!

Paracleats

Last year I told you about Terrance Richmond in my January version of this article, and this year he’s back with some friends as part of the collective Paracleats. It’s insanely dope, I love the musicality of it all and appreciate the features. Go follow them on Spotify to stay up and keep up on all they’re releasing.

Curtis Lamar

I love it when I hear pastors who can rap. Curtis had a hit go around awhile ago called “Christ Rules,” featuring Datin, which was his take on the old Wu Tang classic, but his album had a few more gems on it. This southern rapper has some things going for him. Curtis Lamar Spotify

Diomer

Diomer is so versatile and creative I believe he can rock with any type of sound. From dark trap type stuff to poppy and upbeat, he’s been putting out consistent above the bar stuff for awhile now. Don’t sleep. Diomer Spotify

D-Rock

I’m really a sucker for these old school southern flows and beats. D-Rock has some rawness about him but that’s what draws me to him. His album dropped at the end of 2021, but he’s still crankin’ out newness in ’22. Here’s his Spotify.

Luc DiMarzio
Luc DiMarzio
Luc has been a fan of CHH for 30 years, and has been writing about it for just over 4 years. He has a huge passion for amplifying the underground of CHH. When he's not bumpin hip-hop, you can catch him leading worship at his local church, rooting on the Chicago Cubs with his wife, or swimming with his kids.
