6 Underrated Christian Rap Producers (Part 4)

Over the past year, we have been observing dope producers in our space and have highlighted them for artists to recognize how essential they are to the creative process. Here are 5 more Christian rap producers that you need to look out for. Read Part 3 here.

Phathom

Phathom is an OG emcee/producer currently residing in Seattle, Washington. He has moved around a lot during his time and uses those experiences and different cultures he’s witnessed in his music.

Phathom started off as a secular emcee in 1998 and was making records with a producer. It wasn’t until his producer dissed him on a song that Phathom decided to produce his own tracks. He taught himself how to make beats and started using an MTV music generator as his first DAW. Later, he switched to FL Studio and then Reason.

Phathom has worked with a lot of artists including Datin, Journalist, K-Drama, Stefan0tto, Monster Tarver, Mouthpi3ce, Q-Flo, Selah the Corner, Prodi, C4 Crotona, Mike Teezy, Jered Sanders, Alcott, Battz, Bumps Inf, Byron Woo, R-Swift, Scribe Music, Godina, and many more.

Phathom’s accomplishments include being featured on The Source and XXL, collaborating with Canibus, Chino XL, and Crooked Eye on a song, doing shows with the Far East Movement, The Executioners, and Jurassic 5, and collaborating with J.Cole on a record.

Phathom recently dropped a phenomenal, album titled Kingdom Culture, and is currently working on Kingdom Culture 2, an EP with Bri Smilez, and a secret career-defining project. Follow Phathom on Instagram

Elxjah

Elxjah is a 17-year-old producer from Orlando, Florida who has been producing since December of 2019. He first downloaded FL Studio on his sister’s laptop at a Christmas party and started messing around with production. Prior to making beats, he was an artist, yet he was inspired by his producer friends to learn and create his own beats. Elxjah lists Ronny J as an inspiration who he learns from.

Elxjah hit the jackpot when he produced the well-known WHATUPRG record “Praise” which features 350, J Monty, Foggieraw, Kaleb Mitchell, Not Klyde, Ty Brasel, Parris Chariz, Aha Gazelle, and 1k Phew. His proudest moments include producing “Praise” with A-list artists in CHH and working with artist, Midwest.

Elxjah’s goals include working with Internet Money, BEAM, Wolf, and SSGKobe, as well as improving his beatmaking skills and developing a new sound no one has made yet. Follow Elxjah on Instagram

Calm

Calm is an 18-year-old producer from Seattle, Washington who has been producing since 2018. He started taking it more seriously over quarantine and has not stopped since.

Calm has produced for artists such as BigGucciDame, Xay Hill, Christopher Syncere, Zdiorx, and more. His proudest moments include his first placement with BigGucciDame for the song “Memories to the Future,” getting followed by Marty of Social Club Misfits on Instagram (who he grew up listening to), and connecting and building relationships with people he looks up to in CHH.

Calm is currently working to get some collaboration releases to drop soon and he hopes to work on a Summer 2022 project. Follow Calm on Instagram

Loq

Loq is a 16-year-old producer from Lancaster, Pennsylvania who has been producing for about a year and a half. One of his school friends inspired and taught him the art of beat-making which eventually led him to experiment and learn music production.

Loq has produced for artists such as DJLC, Nix, Siahthylegend, Jack Tyler, and QEW. His proudest moments include winning Producer of the Month on Fazbreak’s “Hump Day Hits” review show and making connections within the CHH community.

He is currently working on more songs with DJLC, Hylem, and Siahthylegend. His goals include making more loops, getting more songs released with the artists he works with and getting better at marketing. Follow Loq on Instagram

Drew

Drew is a 17-year-old producer from Nashville, Tennessee who has been producing since 2019. He started producing on his iPhone and worked his way up to buying equipment when he decided to pursue music production as a career.

Drew has worked with artists such as Jude Barclay, DANMAR, Swaizy, and simplyollie. He is grateful for the creative circle he is a part of and the relationships he has built along the way.

Drew recently dropped his debut producer EP which features Jude Barclay, DANMAR, Graham, and Genuine. His goal is to produce for Jay-Way and to create his own “DrewDidIt” merchandise. Follow Drew on Instagram

Krstian

Krstian is a 19-year-old producer/artist from Switzerland who has been making music since the age of 14. His brothers introduced him to FL Studio which allowed him to pick up beat-making but it wasn’t until early 2021 that he started taking producing more seriously. Krstian lists Pierre Bourne as one of his biggest inspirations and has built relationships in CHH making beats inspired by him.

He has produced for artists such as K-See, Apex Frazier, BigGucciDame and more. His proudest moments include producing Apex Frazier’s song “Godfidence” which surpassed 30k streams on Apple Music, producing BigGucciDame’s song “How U Do It” which surpassed 10k streams in a few days, and his debut single “Molly” being featured on Rap Finds.

Krstian’s goals include dropping more music as an artist by releasing an EP at the end of the year, having fun creating music, and getting placements with major CHH artists. Follow Krstian on Instagram
