Legendary UK CHH Group GreenJade Celebrate 20th Anniversary of ‘Chronicles: The Story So Far’

January 31st 2022 marked the 20th anniversary of Chronicles:The Story So Far by GreenJade one of the legendary groups of early UK Hip Hop.

The South London group were contemporaries of Black Twang, Ty, Roots Manuva had started back in 1996 and were one of the first groups to bring a faith-based flavor to the UK Underground Scene whilst simultaneously helping to lay the foundation for the UK’s Urban Gospel scene becoming the forerunners for artists like Faithchild, Hope Dealers, Gunva B, Ghetts, Dave and Stormzy.

To mark the original launch of the album in 2002, GreenJade independently held a launch party at The Brixton Fridge (now the Electric) playing to a sold-out crowd of 1500 people which was unheard of for a local UK Hip Hop group of the time.

To celebrate this, GreenJade will be releasing the footage from the concert in full for the first time as they prepare to release their documentary, GreenJade: The Best Kept Secret later on in the year.

The full show premiered at 8 pm on Monday 31/1/22 GMT at www.theGreenJade.co.uk but you can check out the live performance of Merrily here.

GreenJade:Chronicles: The Story So Far on all major streaming services as well as the GreenJade playlist on Spotify featuring tracks from their 4 studio albums, solo projects, and of course the crew ZionNoiz.
