Canon Felt Like He Lost his Sanity Last Year

Canon was recently on an episode of Pen Game 101 to speak about his album We Made it. While getting questions, one of them asked about his mental health and where he was at currently.

For most of 2020 and 2021, Canon was off the grid. He was struggling badly with what was going on in the world, and new for his own mental health, he had to dip out for a bit.

“The turning point for me was my sanity. I felt like I lost it,” Canon said. “I felt like I had to get to a point to figure out why I was feeling this way. A lot of stuff happening in the world was driving me crazy and had me feeling like I was crazy. Had to get to a point where it was okay for me not to be ok.”

He needed to be there for his family and get healthy for them. He knew that he couldn’t be the leader of his household if he was struggling.

“Gotta keep moving forward,” he said.
