Andy Mineo Pushes Album Back After Track with Lecrae Doesn’t Get Clearance

For the second time, Andy Mineo is pushing back the release date for Neverland 2. In a video on Instagram, he explains he has to cut a song with Lecrae from the album. Lecrae references things in the song that need clearance from the original song owners. One of those people is legendary producer Rick Rubin.

The problem, Rubin is in Italy vacationing. The problems don’t end there. Mineo has already ordered 1000s of copies of the album that are now useless. He and Lecrae need to rerecord the song and reshoot the music video as well. Overall, it’s disastrous.

The album is now expected October 1st.
