Welcome to our weekly episode of Rapzilla.com’s Top Christian Rap News Recap. We endeavor to grab the best stories from the previous week and give them to you every Tuesday.

Pioneers of Christian Rap

Last weekend had the privilege of attending the premiere and concert event of Mic Drop the Movie in Dallas, Texas. It was there that I got to chop it up with almost every legend in CHH history. Here are some of the names that were featured in the big group interview: Stephen Wiley, Michael Peace, Soup the Chemist, S.F.C., P.I.D., the DOC, Dynamic Twins, Gospel Gangstaz, ETW, and more. You can watch it on our YouTube or Facebook.

D-Boy & M.C. Gegee

Another opportunity I had while in Texas was to complete the third part of a story I started three years ago. Back in 2018, I told the stories of Danny D-Boy Rodriguez, commonly known as the first martyr of CHH & his sister M.C. Gegee, the first woman in CHH signed to a label.

While in Dallas I got to spend some time with their family and see some of the most important places in their lives. I wrote about that journey, its impact on me, and their legacy within CHH. Check that out on Rapzilla.

Christian Rap Collabs

We dropped an article about 10 Christian Collaborations we want but may never see. We have all sorts of crazy ones in there, NF & Eminem, Andy Mineo & KJ-52, Kanye West & Lecrae. Let us know which ones you’d want to see and who we’re missing.

Taelor Gray and NXTMIKE

Two albums of note that dropped on Friday were Taelor Gray’s New Peace which features three tracks produced by Tunnel Rats legend Peace 586. And, one of the young and future faces of CHH, NXTMIKE, dropped his debut album For the Love of God. Check out both of those.

Don’t forget Summer Fest 2020 is coming on September 17th & 18th! Make sure you grab those tickets.

Stay tuned for more weekly Christian rap news!
