Christian Rap’s biggest festival and event ever was announced to much excitement last year. The year of 20/20 vision seemed perfect for a 2020 extravaganza but COVID had other plans.
Emcee N.I.C.E., Chantal Grayson, and God’s House of Hip-Hop Radio are back in full force for 2021 with much of the original lineup intact. Of course, there will be safety measures put in place, and the crowd size will be on a scale anywhere from about 35 to 70% depending on where California is at with the pandemic.
The dates are September 17 and 18th and it takes place at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
They are keeping the name 20/20 because it’s the vision, not the year that defines this festival which the founders hope becomes Christian music’s Coachella. The plan is to grow in size every year and with 70 artists from the jump, what could happen next?
Wednesday, April 21st the two-day headliners were announced:
Alex Zurdo, Derek Minor, Wande, Bizzle, WHATUPRG, Canton Jones, 1K Phew, Dee-1, Manny Montes, Angie Rose, FLAME, Aha Gazelle, Emcee N.I.C.E., Jor’dan Armstrong, Steven Malcolm, and Bryann Trejo.
“We’ve never seen anything to this magnitude that’s focused on the music part,” said Canton Jones in the press conference. “For this type of excellence…we want to be on stage with other people who really do this.”
As of right now, the festival will only be open to California residents per state guidelines. Everyone else will be able to purchase tickets online and enjoy in the festivities. Nice even said there would be a VR component for people at the stadium.
