Some Christian Rap artists have produced several new sounds and fusions of genres in the past few years. But what if a few artists completely changed genres? Here are 5 Christian Rap artists who could be café guitarists. This list is in no particular order.
5. CJ King
CJ is one of those versatile artists that you can’t put into a box. Because of that, he can play guitar, and he has a pretty smooth voice, I could definitely see the entrepreneur sitting in the corner of a cafe. He uses his singing and guitar skills in a bunch of his songs. “Impulse,” is a prime example of CJ’s abilities.
Singing is literally in this guy’s name. Also, he is the frontman and guitarist for a pop-rock band in his town. With his experience on the stage and his singing and guitar skills, adrian could easily make the career switch. The song that shows his potential to strum a guitar and sing about his high school woes and love is his newest single, “CHARLI.”
3. Kay Sade
The former TheKnuBlack member would move into the role flawlessly. You can find on her Instagram sometimes strumming a tune on a guitar. She has a mellow singing voice. She has great adlibs. What is there not to like about Sade as a cafe guitarist? While this features an electric guitar, “Silence” showcases her skills pretty well.
2. Montell Fish
This guy has it all. Guitar skills, on-point singing voice, and mastery of melodic music. Montell is a slam-dunk candidate for this genre change. If there’s a piano at the cafe, Montell can be amazing with that as well. He has the music catalog to prove it as well. “Peter,” “Heaven,” “Cry 4 U,” and “Overcome” are a few examples of why Montell can make the switch.
1. Nic D
Nic D’s hair and clothing choices allow him to easily fit in a cafe. Well, he has the voice and guitar skills to back up his looks. Nic D’s natural music style is smooth enough for a cafe and he could easily write lyrics to create a calm mood. A song that shows off Nic’s ability to drive a song with a guitar and his singing is “Wayside.”
