It’s been a slow two weeks for CHH, so here are a few highlights from the last two weeks.
Lecrae nominated for “Sunday Morning” for best CCM Song. Kanye West Jesus is King Best CCM album
So last week we had the release of Datin and Marty’s joint project, Who Do You Believe? There was also da’ T.R.U.T.H. and Limoblaze’s Bridges. The week before that we saw Lecrae put out a deluxe version of Restoration, Parris Chariz put a deluxe version of 2045, while nobigdyl. dropped a chopped and screwed version of LOWERCASE TAPE.
Wande’s song “Woo” was used as part of a viral marketing campaign for Apple’s iPhone 12 mini on TikTok. The videos have reached well over 100 million views on the app. That’s an amazing placement for the young Reach star.
DJ Mykael V
Things have been hard during COVID, so hard in fact, that instead DJing events, Mykael V is not fighting at them. The popular DJ has made his turn to amateur wrestling and last week made his Instagram Live debut for WWA4. He even won his first match!
CDC 24 & 25
At first we had Fern, Dillon Chase, and Kyle Peacock. Fern spoke about parenting during covid and adjustments, Dillon Chase talked about getting more in tune with his community during the pandemic and also share an update about the Dove Awards. Apparently, his file performance was corrupted, that’s why it was cut. Kyle spoke on being an urban missionary in NYC.
Jeannie Ortega, OnBeatMusic, Phil the Voice, Vince Serrano
Rapzilla Freshmen Single
The fifth single and final single, “All That,” from our Rapzilla Freshmen 2020 project has Paul Russell and Nic D getting some things off their chest and addressing arrogant Christians over an airy lo-fi style melodic beat by Arrow.
