Lecrae Featured in Spider-Man: Miles Morales Video Game

Lecrae has been revealed to be featured in the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales video game.

With rumors swirling of the upcoming Spider-Man 3  film featuring multiple Spider-Men, it’s been a wonderful time to be a fan of the wall-crawling superhero! While those reports are still just rumor, there is another piece of Spider-Man media coming out in less than a month.

On November 12, Insomniac Games will release their follow-up to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-ManSpider-Man: Miles Morales for the PS4 and PS5. Miles was first brought to the mainstream with the hit animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versehis Afro-Latino heritage providing representation for millions of fans.

With all the talk of crossovers among Spider-Men, we seem to have stumbled upon news of a team-up just as exciting for our space. While discussing the game’s music in an interview with Game Informer, Creative Director at Insomniac Games Brian Horton said, “…there’s a number of true hit songs I think that we have peppered throughout the game… and I can’t wait for you guys to hear the original tracks we have from Boi1da and Lecrae, they are absolutely amazing.”

That’s right, it seems Miles Morales’s first game will feature original music from Lecrae, produced by the legendary Boi1da! While the Reach Records co-founder has not publicly mentioned the game just yet, Horton’s name-drop appears to be a virtual guarantee that the 116 leader will contribute to the game’s soundtrack.

Lecrae’s appearance on the Spidey soundtrack is paired with the upcoming collaboration between Reach Records and No Apologies Music, Sin Vergüenza. The project represents a blending of hip-hop and Latin culture, both of which are key to Miles Morales himself.
