A few weeks ago we did an interview about Lecrae saying he may retire after Restoration, might drop one more mixtape, and be out. Well, on Twitter the other day, he answered some fan questions and alluded to dropping Church Clothes 4 and gave a little wink at a collab tape with Andy Mineo. Check out the details on now.

Rapzilla Freshmen Project

Hey, remember in 2015 when we dropped a Rapzilla Freshmen project? Guess what, the time has come again, the 2020 Rapzilla Freshmen will be dropping a project completely produced by one of its classmates, Arrow! This Friday we are kicking it off with the first single. I’m not gonna tell you who’s on it, but be sure you’re paying attention. More details on Rapzilla.

Dove Awards 2020

This year’s Dove Awards nominations are out the hip-hop categories are well…diverse…Not really. Hey, but Kanye West is in there, that’s interesting. I know a lot of people were not happy with the selections but congratulations to the handful of artists that were represented. See the full list on Rapzilla.

Was 2016 CHH’s Best Year?

Last week we had part one of the opinion piece on why 2016 was the best year in CHH. It covered RMG, Collision, and more. In part two our writer Joshua further expounds in dives into a growing reach Records, a blossoming GOM, and indie artists making major moves. Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.

Wrap Up

We dropped part one of “Match Made in Heaven” which talks about awesome producer/rapper combos in Christian rap. A few names are NF and Tommee Profitt, Rhema Soul and Gawvi, Aaron Cole and Saint X, and more. Let us know who should be in part two.

Tommy Royale

I also dropped a fun conspiracy theory article that explains why Tommy Royale and perhaps Aaron Cole are the next artists to sign to Reach Records. There’s a little evidence and it’s fun to consider, so check that out on the site now.

In conclusion, don’t forget to check out all of our playlists featuring the top tracks that dropped on Friday. Start with the Rapzilla Playlist and work your way down.
