Kanye West Announces His 2020 Presidential Bid on Twitter
Kanye West makes the news cycle frequently. This past year, he has announced his conversion to Christianity, dropped music under this new phase of life, and made appearances with Joel Osteen. Kanye, in his popular form of subtlety, has announced his campaign to be the President of the United States– and he’s running in 2020.
This is not the first time Kanye has made mention of running for president. In January, West made the comment that he was planning on running for POTUS in 2024. In November of 2019, he said the same thing. On July 4, 2020, Kanye tripled down on this assertion, tweeting the following:
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION

With an abundance of bombshell news stories in the 2020 cycle a mere 7 months in, this is one item of shock to add to the list. Will Kanye seriously run in 2020? Does he still have time? Is it a good idea? What party will he be? Is this even real? I don’t know, and neither do you. But he said it. So, I guess we will wait and see.
