Ruslan Uses His Platform to Speak on Tough Discussions of Race
It is no secret that Ruslan uses his platform well. Most of the time he is already having difficult and important conversations with his video interviews. There are no limits to who he speaks to whether they disagree on theology, philosophy, or even business. The Kings Dream Entertainment leader is willing to tackle that conversation.
With the events of these last few weeks unfolding, Ruslan has turned his support toward the African American community. As a rapper, he finds himself amongst a large group of black entertainers, collaborators, and influencers. The second, and most important point, is his own experience with his wife and son, a biracial family.
Mr. Indie Jones dedicated a handful of videos and posts to answer and verbalize topics such as: “How Do We Know It’s Racism and Not Just Some Bad Apples?” “How About Black on Black Crime? Is That a Helpful Response?”, and “But All Lives Matter. Is it a Helpful Response?”

Full video of this where I debunk unhelpful responses to #blacklivesmatter and still has questions or disagreements, I’d love to hop on a private zoom call with you. It’s time for us to be humble, be open to blind spots and move to the middle to enact change. I’ve had some hopeful private conversations with my white evangelical brothers & sisters but a lot of you would rather be right instead of righteous, loving and helpful. We have to do better.
He also shared his experiences being at a Black Lives Matter protest>
Lastly, he posted some truly breathtaking photos of the events of a recent protest he attended with his church friends.

Yesterday I attended a protest in Oceanside Ca with some friends from church. There were people there from all walks of life, all ages, all ethnicities, all political ends of the spectrum and it made me #hopeful that humanity as a whole is ready to turn the page on #racism. • Recognizing that all lives don’t matter until #blacklivesmatter. this wasn’t a political rally. It was a humanitarian march for equality and justice. There was no violence. No police in riot gear. No swat team. No national guard. And No looting. Don’t let the media trick you. The majority of all protest happening are peaceful. • What does protesting do? Well since all of the protest started, • California banned police from using chokeholds, • the US marine Corp banned any confederate flag displays, • The FBI reopened the investigation of #breonnataylor death, • Confederate statues went down all over the south, • The other 3 police officers were charged in the murder of #georgefloyd •• Good things are happening. Change is upon us. If you have any specific question feel free to dm me.
