I had been putting out my Christian rap list during the first week of each month but to be honest, I didn’t feel like writing.  Last week was a time for me to listen and be educated rather than to let my voice be heard. I’m pleased to be back this week putting you onto some heat from some artists you may not have heard before. Thanks for reading and listening!

Errol Allen

Errol is from Louisiana with that trap/modern hip-hop sound. He’s released two projects this year. Trapped In Gonzalez EP and Untold. They’re both bangers, especially the latter. He doesn’t really have any notable features, but my favorite track from him is “Meruem.” In the meantime, check him out on Spotify or watch this Youtube video:

Shem Rivera

Shem is a native of Honduras who was raised in Miami. He’s had some dope features with Lael Turner, Kid Tris, and King Chav and is really on the come up. He just released a new project entitled New Heights, and his overall versatility is refreshing. Here’s his artist profile on Spotify, and whet your appetite with this new video:

Anthone Ray

Anthone is a rapper/producer from Lynchburg VA. He’s got some new school boom-bap vibes. I played his track “Greatest Story Ever Told” so much last year that I’m pretty sure even my wife has it memorized. He’s got a new project, Triathlon, dropping this Friday. Until then, follow him on Spotify, and bump this track here:

Jovon Dangerfield

When you press play on Jovon you get that quintessential west coast hip-hop. Not only can he rock a mic, but he’s a master with the paintbrush as well. He just dropped a new album Timegamble? last week. It’s new in my rotation. Follow him on Spotify here and check out his newest video here:

Let us know which of these Christian rap artists you are discovering for the first time! Who else is someone we should check out?
