Up-and-coming artist JASXN (pronounced JASON) dropped his breakout record Friday, BRXXKS, a heartfelt musical biography highlighting his journey to becoming the artist he is
Over a year in the making, the project explores previously unknown horizons in JASXN’s musical sound, showcasing his vocal ability through somber melodies & upbeat instrumentation.
While only a short, 21-minute listen; the record takes the listeners through a rollercoaster of emotions. From the intense energy of the title track, “BRXXKS”, to the brokenness of “BLXCKMEBACK,” to the sun-soaked summer anthem, “PRXMISE,” there is a record for each person who listens.
“I wanted this project to showcase my story & where I came from. Each feature was chosen specifically to elevate the story behind each song. The content is different than what many expected from me, and that is due to the fact that I wanted to build a foundation for the future. I used to be known as a one-trick pony, who could only rap fast. Nobody was aware that I had singing ability, and this project allowed me to showcase that,” said JASXN.
