New details on the third Spider-Man movie have surfaced. Filming locations and a production start date have been revealed for the third standalone MCU Spider-Man film.
The movie is set to begin filming in July of 2020 and finish in November with the release still scheduled for next July. Jon Watts will return to direct the film with Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Battalon set to reprise their roles.
The movie is expected to film in places like Iceland, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and of course Spidey’s hometown of NYC. Iceland has fans speculating on what we may see story-wise in this film with some people theorizing Kraven the Hunter may make his on-screen debut.
As far as a possible story, we can expect to see Peter Parker dealing with the aftermath of Far From Home’s cliffhanger ending. The recent release of Sony’s Morbius trailer may have also given clues as to what Peter may be dealing with in his latest outing. The trailer shows Jared Leto’s Dr. Micheal Morbius speaking with Micheal Keaton’s Adrian Toomes from Spider-Man Homecoming leading fans to speculate the appearance of the Sinister Six in the next installment.
Any other story details are still very sparse and consist mostly of rumors so far. Spider-Man 3 is slated to release in July 2021.
