Kanye West is continuing to make headlines in Christian news everywhere. According to Fox News, Kanye West has been selected to replace John Crist as the headline act for the Strength to Stand Bible Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN, over the New Year holiday. This announcement comes just a few weeks after John Crist announced he was dealing with some personal issues regarding sexual misconduct allegations. Crist’s comedy tour that planned to run into 2020 was canceled as well as a Netflix special.

The Bible conference leader, Scott Dawson, admitted on a YouTube video, “I realized that, although this is a worldwide megastar, he was a brother in Christ… He told me his testimony. He told me his struggles, what he was still going through. He said he’s been delivered, but he’s on a growth journey with Jesus.”

Not only will Kanye be at the Bible Conference, so will CHH regular Lecrae. They will each both be performing on separate nights alongside Tauren Wells and Hillsong Young & Free. This is not the only time a big-time artist has been in the same place as a Christian rap artist. Lecrae has had some major collaborations in the past. Could we see a Lecrae and Kanye West collaboration soon? Only time will tell.

WATE 6, Knoxville’s ABC affiliate, has the scoop on Kanye’s next big gig. Kanye is also set to perform with Joel Osteen at Yankees Stadium on May 2, 2020.
