Releasing on December 21, 2021, this will film in the DCEU will highlight one of the DC Universe’s most popular villains. The news came with a film poster created by comic book legend Jim Lee and the incredibly talented digital artist, Bosslogic.
In the comics, Black Adam was originally chosen by the wizard Shazam to be his champion, however, he became corrupted by power and was banished from Earth. He was replaced by Billy Batson, who was crowned the new champion and given the mantle of Shazam. With the Rock attached to the film, it’s sure to be eyebrow-raising, to say the least. And hopefully, we will see Shazam (played by Zachary Levi) and The Rock go head-to-head on the big screen.

“In the comics, Shazam’s greatest enemy Black Adam is an evil mirror image of everything he stands against. In the real world, our greatest enemy exists beneath our skin, stitched into the very fabric of our DNA. How can we win a battle that so many have lost? How do we fight the enemy, when the enemy is us?”
