Kanye West

Mr. West had a busy week. 1st he brought his Sunday Service team to two correctional facilities Houston, Texas, a men’s and women’s. The pictures show inmates with hands held high worshipping and amazing scene.

Next, he spent his Sunday at Lakewood Church, the megachurch pastored by Joel Osteen. He came out to do a Q&A during the morning session and shared his testimony, transformation, and the path laid out in front of him thanks to God. Later that night, he brought Sunday Service to the church.

Our brother and long-time CHH artist R-Swift is going through family turmoil right now. A few years back he lost a son, his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and now his mother passed. At various points Swift has been unable to tour or make music to support his family because they’ve needed him. A bereavement fund was set up to help Swift, and honor his commitment to family and give back to him. Check that out.

Swoope was recently featured in a commercial with Giannis Antetokounmpo. He was performing the song “Hall of Fame” as Giannis was preparing for his game. It’s one of the coolest ways we’ve seen CHH be used in media.

After nearly 25 years, KJ-52 will no longer be KJ-52. He’s hanging up the moniker and retiring from being a full-time artist, instead moving into full-time ministry. It’s the end of him making music, but it is the end of touring and making albums for him. His GoFundMe to make that last album and book are already done. So, get to know Jonah Sorrentino.

Wande dropped two singles “No Cap” and “No Ceiling” which together make the “No Limits” maxi-single. Check that out.

Dee-1 interviewed the governor of Louisiana in an effort to talk about issues in his home state and the city of New Orleans. It’s a great move for the constantly learning emcee.

Speech Thomas of Arrested Development is creating a documentary that analyzes racism in the church. It’s called the Cross is Burning. We’ll have more on that.
