Big Yae – Heal Me

The past few years have been filled with hurt and depression for Big Yae. With the self-produced track “Heal Me,” Yae is in search of healing from trauma from family issues, anxiety, and a lack of self-identity.

On “Heal Me,” listeners find Yae rapping from a place of vulnerability and reflection as he samples Allie Coleman’s “Do You Think Like Me.”

“I’ve struggled with where my life is and the things I have gone through. A lot of it I blamed on my dad not being around and I felt like life would be different if he was around. There’s a lot of hurt seeing my mom struggle and seeing the things my little brother is going through. A lot of times I’m lost and I feel hopeless which honestly leads me to tears. So ‘Heal Me’ is me just trying to heal and showing people we all need healing through God.”

“Heal Me” is the second track from Big Yae’s untitled, forthcoming album.
