Navelle Hice Brings Hope and Bars to Sway in the Morning
Good things come to those who wait. This past Friday Chester, P.A. rapper Navelle Hice showed up to Sway in the Morning and handled grown man business, snapping as if he was an original member of Dem Franchise Boys. Hice, who has been known as Hopeman, has appeared on Sway’s SXSW Showcase for the past 3 years has been patiently waiting for the chance to share his gift and his story with the world.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).
While holding his child in his arms, Navelle retold the story of being shot while leaving a performance several years ago. It was a situation that almost left him paralyzed. After the interview, the father and husband went to work, dropping one of the meanest freestyles Sway has had this year. Co-host Heather B claimed that Hice had “changed the world” by sharing his testimony, showcasing his marriage, and the level of excellence he came with while patiently waiting on his chance. Sway and Heather also dropped some very valuable knowledge for performers during the cypher.
