So let’s start this off with a bang. Everyone is talking about the Summer 19 Playlist by Reach Records. The playlist is packed with 37 different artists and producers. It features 14 tracks from all of your favorite Reach artists minus Andy and Trip and includes some of the hottest up and comers in the scene right now. Overall, it’s a showcase of new and established talent working together. Which is your favorite track?
FLAME & Katy Perry Lawsuit
We have an update on the FLAME & Kate Perry lawsuit. After 5 years this thing seems to be coming to a close. The complaint from FLAME is that Perry’s 2013 song “Dark Horse” rips off the beat and music of FLAME’s 2008 “Joyful Noise.” Perry and her team maintain they have not plagiarized while FLAME’s team has evidence that indicates otherwise.
We did an interview with Rapzilla 2019 Freshmen Corey Wise. The up and comer chopped it up about all the new music he has coming and the church planting he’s working on. This guy simply gets it and is doing his music for all the right reasons.
In conclusion, don’t forget to check out all of our playlists featuring the top tracks that dropped on Friday. Start with the Rapzilla Playlist and work your way down. Remember to check out the Christian Rap Mix and Pandora and the best indie artists and tips on NewH2O.com.
