Fresh off his joint project with Davis Absolute, In God We Trust, Gerry Skrillz is back with a single of his own, “Alright.” The song features 2018 Rapzilla Freshmen and rising star Eric Heron. “Alright” was produced by Marvs with artwork by Zxmbiac.

“‘Alright’ is about tapping into a state of mind that allows us to rise above our negative surroundings,” shares Skrillz. “It is a journey through the eyes of a Latino artist determined to push through adversity in a country that struggles to embrace its own diversity.”

He continued, “I wrote this song with the intent to empower minorities as they struggle to overcome difficult circumstances within an unjust society. Specifically, ‘Latino immigrants’ finding their identity amongst a firestorm of racial attacks stemming from the issue of immigration in American politics. I want my music to give my people hope and remind them that our success and happiness is not dependent on the acceptance of a society struggling to understand itself.”
