Reflect Greatness Hip-Hop Showcase at SXSW

The Reflect Greatness hip-hop showcase returned to SXSW for a bigger and better second year. If you weren’t there, you missed out witnessing a lot of greatness at one location, in one night!

The showcase was presented by HipHopDX, Reflection Music Group, and Rapzilla.com and held at The Belmont on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 in Austin, TX. Due to the popular, vibrant 6th street location and venue’s outdoor stage, the electrifying performances attracted several hundred people. The showcase appealed to a diverse audience, which doubled in size compared to the previous year.

Hosted by Necie Love and DJ Standout, the showcase featured returning performers: Dee-1, Canon, Deraj, Propaganda, Ruslan, Parris Chariz and first-time showcase performers: Reconcile, Bookie The Baby, Aha Gazelle, Kaleb Mitchell, Jon Keith, Aklesso, Noah Schatz, and Kurtis Hoppie. Every artist performed outstanding sets which kept the audience engaged and hype throughout the night.

Author Kim Cash Tate, showed a trailer of her new YouTube web series “Cling”, which is quickly gaining popularity. The night concluded with the highly anticipated Rapzilla beat-battle, where 8 producers battled it out for $3000 cash and prizes. Redd Vest beat Ty On Da Track in the final round to win.
