KORBVN – Save Me ft. Jarry Manna

Hip-Hop artist KORBVN just released his new single “Save Me,” featuring indie tribe.’s Jarry Manna. It was produced by KORBVN and epic1beatz , artwork done by himself also.

KORBVN has a lot to say about this song and its impact on him escaping a dark time.

“I wrote ‘Save Me’ from a dark season in my life (to be honest I am still trying to stay grounded),”  he explained. “It started 7 months ago with pain that later landed me in the ER. Later on, I went to a specialist and two more doctors, and they all told me I was fine. Through this all I was praying to God to relieve me from the pain.”

Like most people, KORBVN was afraid of the unknown. This fear discouraged him as a believer.

“The fear of death, and the ‘what if’s’ kept me from moving forward. I started to make mistakes at work and home. I took a hiatus on music. I  started to feel like a burden to family and my wife when I would fall short as a strong husband. I became depressed thinking God couldn’t help me, so naturally, with the pity parties I welcomed suicidal thoughts, I had hated myself.”

A moment of clarity came in the form of an encounter with a friend who he was helping to move out.

“He saw me in the car with a worried look on my face. He asked me if I was ok. I told him that what was the point of living when I am just a burden to everybody,” KORBVN revealed. “He then hugged me and told me I had much to give back to everyone and continued to encourage me.”

KORBVN said he became sick of being “sick and tired.” He decided it was time to move on from this constant state of depression and pain.

“There is a book I am reading explaining why we must choose to live even when we feel our anxiety and fear,” he said. “Don’t get me wrong, it’s still hard when emotions hit but I have to live for the sake of my family, my grandpa, and mentor that passed away.”

It reminded the artist of the following verses:

“That you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” – Matthew 5:45 NIV

“For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return.” – Ecclesiastes 3:19-20 ESV

He concluded saying, “Nobody is untouchable in this life. You can be 6 or 60 years old, rich or poor, sick or healthy…we all feel the rain, will all die, and most importantly what I have learned is to live life well and spend your time wisely. Never hate and reject what God calls beautiful which is life he gave us.
