“As an up-and-coming artist within the chh community, I have struggled a lot with where I look for approval. Although I’m really just starting with this whole music thing, I’ve already got to experience some of the thrills of having a large group of people at your back, supporting your moves. Yet I have found that most of those people are all talk, and will eventually let you down when you are looking for their approval. It’s easy to get caught up in all the ‘gas’ (compliments, support, etc.) and I just really want to make sure that as I grow into the artist I am becoming, I’m never looking for man’s approval, but God’s. In other words, I want to do everything ‘as for the Lord and not for men’.” (Colossians 3:23)
