PEABOD offers a serving of musical veggies, with the release of his debut album Healthy Snacks. It was produced, recorded, and engineered by the artist himself. Today he premieres the music video for friendly anthem “Summer of Fletcher.”
Inspired by a roommate, “Summer of Fletcher” was one of the first hip-hop songs PEABOD ever wrote, with the intention of showcasing his friend’s loveable character. He and his friends recorded the one-shot video at home in their Seattle-suburb town.
The song joins eleven other tracks on Healthy Snacks, which features PEABOD’s first digital single “Shoot From The Hip. It has almost 200,00 views for its music video.” He also has a collaboration with pop CCM star Hollyn on the song “Ok.”
“Healthy Snacks is all about entering into joy because it’s good for your soul, just like healthy snacks are good for your body,” PEABOD describes. “At a surface level, I just wanted to have as much fun making music as I could. On a deeper level, the joy throughout the album comes from knowing Jesus and understanding the Gospel. My hope is that people listening to the album would have a ton of fun with these songs and that they would also embrace the joy that comes with knowing Jesus.”
