Christian Rappers React to the Death of XXXTENTACION
Influential and young, the hip-hop community lost another member of its community. XXXTENTACION was shot and killed yesterday in his vehicle. There are many allegations of domestic abuse and assault against XXX. Deemed a controversial figure in music, he still maintained a high level of respect with his music. Regardless of where you stand on his life and death, clearly a lot of people were impacted by his work. Much of Christian hip-hop had strong feelings about the news.
i put my message in my song and pray that you are blessed @xxxtentacion
idk what to say.

i took X off all my playlists and completely stopped supporting him a few weeks ago. but i 100% wanted to see him live and change his ways and be blessed. this is my hope for everyone.

We used to joke about a society that would see a traumatic event and the first thing they would think is to pull out their phone. It’s sad its no longer a joke but a reality. We have become so clout centered that we will film a person die to say we where there rather than help.

You know, I’m really feeling a little heavy after hearing about the murder of @xxxtentacion. It just makes me think that I wish I was closer to some of these guys. Although, I’ve had conversations with mainstream artist, my desire is to go deeper with them. Satan is really out to steal, kill and destroy. Lord, please continue to use us in every arena. Hip Hop needs you Jesus!!!!!!
Say what you want about him…. but he was just a kid smh. Had so much more to grow. His music you can tell he was screaming for help. Beyond talented! I hope we can always love people past all our disagreements. #RIPXXXTentacion

Ace Harris (Reach Records A&R):
RIP xxx. Regardless of his past transgressions, his music really inspired me and his influence was raw and pure to a whole generation. A brilliant young artist gone too soon. Prayers for his friends and family.

Man. Tormented and disturbed as he may have been, X was an extremely talented individual who impacted the world in his meteoric rise to fame.
Deeply saddened by this https://t.co/F6RIdpNS1X

It is important to note that we all are sinners and we all have been extended salvation through grace. Compassion should be our response to tragedy despite knee-jerk reactions. It should invoke a sense of urgency in us to share the gospel.
