Legacy Conference Chicago 2018: KB, Jackie Hill Perry, & Da’ T.R.U.T.H. to Teach and Perform

On July 19-21, KB, Jackie Hill Perry, Da’ T.R.U.T.H. and dozens of other ministers will gather for the 12th annual disciple-making Legacy Conference Chicago.

Artists who will also be in attendance include Janette…ikz, Eshon Burgundy, Datin, Canon, Json and Angie Rose. Other ministers will include pastors Dhati Lewis and Rich Perez, Dr. Christina Edmondson and Michelle Higgins of the podcast Truth’s Table, and professors Dr. Soong-Chan Rah and Dr. Jarvis J. Williams.

Since 2007, the Legacy has equipped disciples of Christ to make disciples for Christ through its annual conference, which offers attendees teaching from a diverse group of urban ministers. The theme of Legacy Chicago 2018 is Devoted to Fellowship, and among the variety of workshops available will be tracked on the Bible in the urban context, apologetics, politics, and financial stewardship.

Register for the three-day conference at LegacyDisciple.org.

The Legacy is giving indie rappers the chance to earn free conference registration. In addition, they’ll get entered into an A&R Bootcamp with Eshon, Canon and Datin. It will cover songwriting, creativity, content, branding, marketing, character and quality, and entrance into its Thursday Rap Showcase event. The winner will perform on the Legacy Fest stage Saturday.

Here are the rules for the Rap Showcase:

1. Record a 3-5 minute video of your original song.

2. Upload the video to Youtube by Friday, May 18th at 11:59 p.m. The quality of the recording is not important. Feel free to use your phone to record. Legacy will be taking into account presentation, content and the amount of “likes.”

3. Tweet your video with the following wording: “Check out my Rap Showcase entry for #LegacyDiscipleCHI @legacydisciple | (youtube link)”.

4. Encourage your friends to “like” your YouTube entry.
