“This song was written about and inspired by a dear friend of mine that passed away in June of 2015. Emma Marie Aronson was a beautiful, life-giving, free-spirited girl with unbelievable potential in everything she did. You never really saw her without a smile. You never really heard her not laughing. She just had so much joy in her heart.”

Emma meant a great deal to me, personally, and I learned so many things from her in my years of being close to her. God brought her home earlier than anybody could’ve expected. Her passing seemed tragic and heartbreaking at the time and I honestly didn’t know what to think. All I really knew when I found out that she had passed was that I would never be able to speak to her again. I would never be able to apologize. I sort of ended things on bad terms the last time we had spoken and we hadn’t talked in quite a while… and then she was gone.”

“It took me such a long time to work through my personal guilt and my frustrations with God. I didn’t understand why He would let something like this happen to such an amazing young girl. About a year and a half later, I’ve now come to find that her passing was meant to inspire. It was meant to show so many people that loved and looked up to her that we all need to live life to the fullest. Life can suddenly be gone in the blink of an eye and should be cherished everyday.”

“I made this song to hopefully share with you, what she shared with me. I love and miss you Emma. This song’s for you. Can’t wait to see you again.”
