Today’s Throwback Thursday takes us back to 1996’s Controverse All-Star by Grape Tree artist Lil’ Raskull.

The album was a landmark one for Southern Christian hip-hop and really helped establish the Grape Tree label as a force in Christian hip-hop during the 90s.

At the time of its release a lot of the music was strictly east coast or west coast, with not much noise coming from the south. Lil’ Raskull helped usher in the wave of music.
