Rapzilla.com partners with Apple Music as an official playlist curator

Rapzilla.com is thrilled to announce that it has joined a limited lineup of businesses including Beats by Dre, Disney Music and Complex as official Apple Music curators.

“I have been seeing the market go from mostly Spotify users to a balance between them and Apple Music. According to Digital Music News, Apple Music has experienced unprecedented growth. As a curator, Rapzilla.com will be able to create public music playlists and, as a result, utilize another powerful tool to promote Christian hip-hop artists,” Rapzilla co-owner Chad Horton said.

Rapzilla will update one playlist weekly called Christian Rap Supreme, which will be made up of the 20 hottest songs in Christian hip hop. KB’s “Tempo” tops the inaugural Christian Rap Supreme playlist, followed by songs like Derek Minor’s “Look At Me Now,” Andy Mineo’s “Candy Rain,” The Ambassador’s “Sacred or Secular,” Eshon Burgundy’s “Pray” and Sho Baraka’s “Road To Humble, 1979.” Other playlists will also be featured including Old School Christian Rap, Rapzilla Freshmen Class Alumni and more.

“Making the movement more accessible … I love it,” KB said. “I’m honored to be the first featured artist of such a momentous opportunity for my friends at Rapzilla.”

In addition to Rapzilla.com, Apple Music also counts the “Today” show, Comedy Central, Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall, Rolling Stone, Vogue, The Fader, Pitchfork, Vice, Shazam and EDM.com, among others, as curators.

Apple Music amassed 15 million subscribers in just its first year of existence, and the upcoming release of the iPhone 7 is sure to win over more. The music-streaming service’s app offers a three-month free trial and is available on both iPhones and androids.

Rapzilla can also be followed on Spotify, which boasts 30 million paid subscribers and 100 million active users. Over 6,000 people follow Rapzilla’s Christian Rap Playlist on Spotify.
