KJ-52 & Social Club Misfits Share the Idea Behind ‘Island of the Misfit Toys’

Last night KJ-52 posted a video of he and the Social Club Misfits talking about the “idea of misfit” and their song, “Island of the Misfit Toys.”

Marty explained that the idea of misfits really took off when he heard a sermon by Pastor Chris Durso explaining what it’s like to be a misfit in Christ. That resonated with Marty, and when he met Fern, that same passion was there.

“I know what you’re going through, I relate, and there’s a comfort to know there’s people out there that love Jesus and need to hear that they are loved,” Marty said. “When you brought that song to us, it’s a very emotional song.”
