Dee Black launches a new label and signs Mouthpi3ce

Hip-hop artist/producer Dee Black has founded a new independent record label called HISstory Music Group, which launched with a two-rapper roster of himself and Mouthpi3ce.

“I felt there’s a gap in the genre we do, and it doesn’t have a focus on lyrical excellence centered around the gospel,” Black said. “Our main goal is to have [our music] centered around the gospel but at the same time create something that has a spirit of excellence with its lyrics, its music, everything.”

Mouthpi3ce, an Atlanta-based veteran who’s featured on BrvndonP’s new album that dropped today, plans to release his HMG debut album, The Spectacle, in the fourth quarter of this year, according to a press release.
