6. Spring of the Songbird by Sivion
Sivion released this project through Braille’s Hip Hop IS Music, making it one of the last projects before Humble Beast. It was also his debut solo record after previously recording with Deepspace5.
About a month after this release, Sivion released a follow up, Mood Enhancement.
7. Behind the Glory by K-Drama
K-Drama’s Behind the Glory was the emcee’s first foray into hip-hop and released the record on Holy Hip-hop Records.
The album was notable for its solid production team, and “club banger” tracks sprinkled throughout.
8. Thug Love Pettidee
Pettidee hits the term Christian Hip-Hop hard on Thug Love as the album is pure witness and gospel.
This dirty south album features guest spots from Grits, Verbs, and a few others.
9. Fountain of Life by Japhia Life
Japhia broke some ground for himself with this record as it reached No. 43 on the Gospel Albums chart.
The production and record were very chorus heavy to give the album a very musical and memorable feel.
10. After the Music Stops by Lecrae
Lecrae’s second full-length album was the beginning of helping him become today’s biggest Christian artist. This album picked up Steller and Dove Award nominations.
The album was a joint release on Cross Movement and Reach Records and features one of his biggest hits, “Jesus Muzik.”
