WWE superstar and Christian rap enthusiast, AJ Styles was on ESPN’s “Off the Top Rope” with Jonathan Coachman where he briefly mentioned his taste for Christ-centered hip-hop.
After talking about a dream match of facing retired superstar and fellow Christian Shawn Michaels, Coachman asked Styles: “You’re into, what I’m told is, Christian hip-hop. How and why?”
“To me, it’s some of the best music you’ll ever hear,” replied AJ. “I am a believer, and to be able to listen to a guy like Lecrae or Trip Lee, guys like that, it’s amazing. It’s some of what I think are the best rappers in the world.”
“Why not,” he added. “It’s good stuff.”
Coachman, seemingly in disbelief that such music exists responds, “Interesting. Christian hip-hop. I’m going to have to look into that.”
