EDM duo Capital Kings has become a solo act, for now.
Capital Kings founding member Jon White announced this week on the group’s Facebook page that he had chosen to leave.
“CK fans! Jon White here! Just wanted to say thank you for everything! As we begin this year I have decided to step away from Capital Kings,” he said. “It has been an amazing journey, and I have been blessed to work with some amazing people along the way!
“Tobymac and everyone at Gotee Records and Creative Artist Agency, have sincerely impacted my life and I am more than thankful for our years together. TO THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD! I thank you for your loyalty to Cole and I through the years, and I know you will continue to take CK ALL THE WAY! Thank you again for the ride of my life! Love you all!”
Remaining Capital Kings member Cole Walowac also commented on the separation.
“It’s been an incredible start to Capital Kings with Jon and as a friend, I am grateful for the first few years together. Looking ahead I’m excited to continue this journey with you all as my heart and passion continues to be in Capital Kings.”
Capital Kings’s latest Gotee album, II, track No. 9 of which, “Northern Sky”, features Reach Records rapper KB, released in Oct. 2. Walowac is currently on tour with TobyMac.
