TJ Pompeo separates with Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s label Mixed Bag

TJ Pompeo, the first artist to publicly sign with Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s record label Mixed Bag Entertainment in Sept. 2013, announced this week that he is no longer signed.

“I’m grateful for all of the experiences I had while I was with Mixed Bag,” Pompeo said in a press release. “Being on the road with T.R.U.T.H. was a great opportunity to learn the industry ropes. I’ll definitely carry that wisdom and knowledge into my future industry endeavors. Mixed Bag is going through a transition, and they offered me an opportunity to be released from my contract, so my management and I decided to pursue that opportunity. No bad blood, no hard feelings.”

The announcement comes the week of the release of Pompeo’s debut retail EP, Pompeiio, which will drop on Friday, Nov. 13.

The hip-hop artists still on Mixed Bag include Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Promise and Prayz1, according to the label’s official website.
