Jackie Hill-Perry: ‘The Art of Joy’ felt like practice

Hip-hop and spoken-word artist Jackie Hill Perry sat down with Rapzilla at Legacy Conference 2015 and shared her thoughts on the state of females in mainstream hip hop. She also said she wasn’t impressed with her Humble Beast debut album, The Art of Joy, despite many Christian hip-hop fans calling it one of the best albums of 2014.
