Lecrae’s ‘Nuthin’ Nominated for Impact Track at BET Hip Hop Awards 2014

BET announced this week that Lecrae’s song “Nuthin,” the first single off his upcoming album Anomaly, is nominated for best Impact Track at its 2014 Hip Hop Awards.

“The record has the Christian MC pointing out the flaws with rappers today who obsess over material possessions and put money above all. Real talk,” wrote BET.

In 2013, BET nominated Lecrae for the Best Gospel Artist award. He lost to Mary Mary. This year, “Nuthin” is pitted up against Common’s song “Kingdom,” Lupe Fiasco’s “Mission,” The Roots’ “Never” and Talib Kweli’s “State of Grace.”

The award show will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
